Willie Mae Easterling Mangum was born on October 22, 1928 to parents Robert Lee Madison and Aradia Scott in New Orleans, Louisiana.

A loving mother and homemaker, Willie Mae was a remarkable cook and enjoyed baking for her family and friends especially over the holidays. Willie Mae was an excellent baker and became known for her famous pound cake and pies.

She was  dedicated to her family and became mother and grandmother to everyone that was blessed to encounter her. Willie Mae was often described as one of the nicest women you ever met.

Willie Mae departed this world on December 22, 2020 at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard G. Mangum; Father: Robert Lee Madison; Mother: Aradia Scott, and daughter: Sharon Tillman.

She is survived by her son, Bernard K. Magnum (Shilisa); grandchildren, Kevin Mangum (Miriam), Shalanda Clay (James), Latanya Clay, and Charles Mangum; great grandchildren, Jalen Mangum, Jorian Mangum, Mar’kel Mangum, Charles Mangum Jr., Landy’en Mangum, Dashaisa Mangum, and Jeremiah Mangum; great-great-grandchild Nasya Hart, and a host of family and friends.
