Funeral Services for Willie M. Burns, age 76, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Picayune Church of God.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Picayune Church of God.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Pastor Saxton Odom will officiate the service.
A native of Poplarville, MS, he was a retired Carpenter and a member of Picayune Church of Christ. Willie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William M. Burns and Ida Bates Burns; brothers, William Burns Jr., Thomas Burns, Herbert Burns, and James Burns; sister, Pauline Entrekin.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 47 blessed years, Connie Woods Burns; son, Timothy M. (Shirley) Burns Sr.; grandchildren, Isaac Burns, Brittany Burns, Timothy Burns Jr., Presley Burns, Jaxon Burns, Bently Burns, and Alexis Vance; great grandson, Kennet Morales Burns; brother, Arnold (Rosemary) Burns; sister, Rosie Davis; numerous nieces and nephews.
