Born October 19, 1978, Willie Smith was 44 years old at his time of passing. He was a great son, father, uncle, and friend who was always giving to the children and his family members. He was always encouraging and proud of the children in the family. His love for his children and mother is unmeasurable, and he always made sure they were well taken care of. There is so much that will be missed about Willie, including his playfulness, laughter, energy, and who he was to all his family and friends.
Willie, also known as Blake, loved a good card game, fresh cut, and his fashion. He loved his friends dearly. Willie always started a conversation with, ” What’s up, kid”!! He’s always gave parting words of wisdom and advice to his children, nieces, and nephew.
Willie was preceded in death by his father, Willie N Douglas; stepfather, Tommy Ratliff, son, Raekwon Smith, grandparents, Johnnie Mack Brown, Nate Douglas, and Lizzie Douglas.
Willie is survived by his mother, Rebekah Ratliff; daughter, Summer Iv Smith; sons, Ty Smith and Jaydan Ziglar, grandsons, Raekwon LaShawn Smith Jr and Xavier Tiequan Smith; siblings, Moneka Smith and Arkisha Hayes; niece, Brittney Smith; nephews, Xavier Bailey and Jacobi Hayes and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends.
Willie, you are loved and you will be missed dearly, you’ll forever be in our hearts and memories. Love you!
