The Legacy of My Life Story

Willie James Varner Glover Jr., a.k.a., the Ticket Master, was born on September 16, 1953, in Tuskegee, Alabama to the late great Eddie Glover and Bernice Varner Glover, whom both preceded him in death. In 1993 he met the love of his life, Mary “McLaurine” Glover as they were later joined in Matrimony on June 21, 1997, and had collectively been together and married for 29 years. Willie dedicated his life to Christ at an early age. He was a faithful member of Jeremiah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev., Henry Brown Sr., and after his passing, Willie joined Blessed Hope Missionary Church, where Rev. Johnny Tymon is Pastor, where he remained faithful until God called him home.

Willie was a man of integrity a man of great faith and one with multiple talented gifts such as; #1 ticket seller, a radio-event commercial announcer, singer, and songwriter who started out as a young man playing lead guitar but developed a greater love for playing Bass, who enjoyed playing music for his wife and wife, who loved promoting gospel concerts, and was a man with the passion for driving buses. Willie was nicknamed Ticket Master because he could sell any given time, no matter how less and no matter how many every ticket was important and would eventually make plenty. He never met a stranger but always had a smile and embraced you with a hug that was full of Glover love.

Early on in his life, his passion for driving allowed him to go further to obtain his license as CDL Bus Driver allowing driving to become his lifestyle. Willie started out singing as a child with his father’s group The Glover Specials, I&N Gospel Singers, and then later with his childhood group the Fabulations (Barbara White, John Whaley, Robert Spicer, Lamiel Walker, Eugene Jones, Bruce Rison, and Dave Phelps). Upon managing his wife’s music career Willie created ways always to incorporate her singing ministry into his lifestyle and together they traveled the country and later added the group and band named “Company”, to her leading vocals and then started Glovers World Music/Publishing and WM Productions in conjunction with Worldwide Productions, Mr. Lloyd Tucker and his Assistant Manager, Terrie Moore. Willie was the Executive Producer for his wife’s music projects; Hold Out Until Tomorrow, Take Time Out For Jesus, Hands On Me, and Simply Mary. He was very supportive throughout her music career including her annual events her recent deal with DAF Entertainment and her latest accomplishment as vocalist for Dr. Bobby Jones. Some of Willie’s greatest dreams finally came true when he was selected to be Bus Actor in the upcoming Lebron James movie Fab 5 Films LLC., “Shooting Stars”, coming in 2023.

Passionately doing what he loved to do as a bus driver, on December 16, 2022, Willie Glover, the Ticket Master, sold out to Jesus leaving behind to cherish his precious memories his wife, Mary Glover, son Elijah James Glover, and son Willie Varner Glover Jr., two daughters; Laquetta “Renee” Varner Glover and Latricia Glover., One brother; Robert Varner Glover (Elaine) Five sisters; Eddie Lou Sanders (Robert) Alabama, Carolyn” Babysis” Lofton Humphries, Shirley Common (Joe), Jackie Common (Dave) Las Vegas, Merle Mae Johnson, Grandchildren; Ginetta, Faatimah “Pooka”, Willie III, Jamal, Jaylen, Jada “Moma”, Kendrick “Prince”. Willie also leaves to cherish his mother-in-law, Helen McLaurine, Lima, God-Mother Delores Vaden, and play sister Estelle Jenkins, along with an abundance of In-laws, cousins, and Godchildren.
