Mr. Willie James Gilmore, 73, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Hospice Home of Beacon Place, Greensboro, NC.
Willie was known as “Bill Gilmore” by many who knew him. He was born on June 19, 1938 in High Point to the late Ladermore Gilmore and Frances Lendon Davis. He was a member of New Dimension Community Christian Center of Greensboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving to cherish his memory include one sister, Phyllis Gilmore Fernandez; two nieces, Renay and Nicole Fernandez; one nephew, Robert Branch, III; one great niece, April Fernandez; one great nephew, Marcus Sampson, Jr. all of Baltimore, MD; two uncles, Artra Gilmore, Sr. and Ewell Lendon; one aunt, Margarite Lendon Dunlap all of High Point, a host of many other relatives and friends as well as a devoted caregiver, Bishop Tavaris L. Johnson, Sr.
