She was born in Iredell County on November 10, 1929, to Albert and Jettie Brawley Morrow. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved her church.
She is survived by her husband, Hunter Sherrill Freeze; sons Dale Rodney (Margot) Freeze of Florence, SC, and Thomas Eugene Freeze of Troutman; three grandchildren, Holly Donahue, Jason Freeze, and Sharon Thomas; and one great-grandson, Mathew Freeze.
