Willie Edward McClain, 71, of Clarksburg formerly of Buckeye Community near Salem passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Heartland of Clarksburg following an extended illness. He was born September 5, 1941 in Doddridge County, son of the late Branniard “Jeff” and Juanita Underwood McClain. He is survived by two children; Valerie J. Grunau of Clarksburg and Jeff E. McClain of Clarksburg; one grandson; Aiden Matthew Grunau of Clarksburg; one brother; Worthey Otis McClain of Arizona. He was preceded in death by one sister; Darlene McClain; son-in-law, Matthew E Grunau. He graduated from Doddridge County High School, received a Bachelor’s degree from Salem College and a Masters from Fairmont State. Willie was a chemistry teacher at Victory High School and Liberty High School for over thirty eight years. He enjoyed golfing, photography, Mountaineer Football and all sports at Liberty High School and WVU. He was a member of Clarksburg Baptist Church.
