Willie Edward “Willie-Ed” Harrison Sr., 75yrs, died Tuesday April 9th at Aurora Senior Living Center in Cromwell. Willie was born on July 26, 1937 in Winnsboro, SC and was the son of the late Robert Harrison and Judy B. Harrison of Hartford. Willie is survived by one brother, Samuel Harrison, and his wife Florence Harrison of Hartford; four children, Barbara L. Harrison (East Hartford), Deborah E. Harrison-Onoh and husband Alex Onoh Sr. (Charlotte, NC), Willie Edward Harrison Jr. (Hartford) and Timothy M. Harrison and his wife Sherry Harrison (Middletown). Willie had nine grand-children who loved and adored him. There was no doubt Willie loved them grand-kids. Angela Harrison, Alex Onoh Jr., Arianna Onoh, Richard Erisoty, Danielle Harrison, Michelle Harrison, Janelle Harrison, Timothy Harrison Jr. and Shaiann Harrison. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews who loved him. Willie was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Richmond; (Winnsboro, SC) and David Harrison (Hartford) and one sister, Robbie H. McGriff (Winnsboro, SC). Willie was a very determined man who battled his illnesses valiantly, never once complained of pain. Some say he was strong-willed, the family knows he was stubborn! He survived pancreatic cancer and a severe heart attack which he was unconscious for 43 minutes. He had a very strong determination to live, right unto his last breath. He will be missed by his family, neighbors and friends.
