William Woodard, better known as “Bill” to family and friends, a resident of the Mobile, Alabama made his transition Tuesday, March 3, 2020, while at USA Medical Center in Mobile.  William was born on February 19, 1930 to Reverend Clausell Boykin Sr. and Pearlie Whittaker Woodard, he was 90 years of age when he had his homecoming. William worked at Alabama State Dock as a foreman for over 40 years.  He was an avid hunter and loved playing checkers with his best buddies.  William was a faithful member of Phillips Temple Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Quillas Mitchell.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Arthurine Bridges and Elizabeth Jackson; brothers, Walter Woodard and Reverend Clausell Boykin, Jr.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Vincent (Evelyn) Woodard of Jacksonville, FL; his daughter, Lisa Woodard McCants (Dwight) of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Annie Pearl Taylor of Jackson; Mary Washington of Mobile; brother, Richard Boykin of Jackson; five grandchildren, Crystal Woodard, Jonathan Woodard, Dwight McCants II, and Devin McCants, all of Atlanta, GA; Courtney Woodard of Chicago, IL; a devoted niece Brenda Napier Causey of Silas; and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
