William Walter Dilk, Jr., 65, of Cromwell, passed away on Sunday, June 28th at the family cottage in Old Saybrook. Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late William and Josephine (Salinsky) Dilk. Bill was a lifelong resident of Cromwell and a lifelong summer resident of Great Hammock Beach in Old Saybrook. He graduated from Cromwell High School, Hartford State Tech and Central Connecticut State College. He was formerly employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Manufacturing and presently at EDRO Corporation in East Berlin. Bill was a member of Cromwell Fire Department where he was a Fire Commissioner for many years. He had a great interest in his community and serving others. A loving husband and father, Bill is survived by his adored wife, Maura (Konopka) Dilk; his cherished daughter, Kaitlyn Dilk; several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a sister-in-law and her husband, Margaret and Patrick O’Connor of Schaumburg, IL.
