William W. “Shorty” Wallace, age 74, of DeMotte, formerly of Hammond, passed away on August 26, 2015 at the South Lake Methodist Hospital in Merrillville.
William was born on August 8, 1941 in Danville, IL., the son of Russel and Louise (Nevels) Wallace both deceased. Bill was a hard working man and loved the Cubs, win or lose. He also loved to fish. His grandchildren and grand dogs were the love of his life. He never missed a soccer game and would do absolutely anything for the both of them.
William is survived by his loving wife Betty (nee Reese); a daughter, Tina (Lance) Scesney; 2 grandchildren, Shane Tucker and Amber Scesney; loving sister, Barbara Williams; 2 brothers, Russel (Nancy) Wallace and Tom (Jan) Wallace and several nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Stephen and Larry Wallace.
