William (Bill) W. Rogers, age 60, died suddenly on Friday, May 27, 2011. He graduated Kirkman Technical High School in 1968, and attended UTC. He worked many years as a “bread man” with Colonial Bakery and was currently a sales rep for Kraft / Nabisco. He was an avid UTC Moc fan. His interests were basketball, golf, but his greatest passion was mountain biking. Bill volunteered for years both with Chattanooga Bike Club and SORBA. His advocacy efforts have expanded and maintained trails at Chilhowee, Racoon Mtn, Enterprise South, and most recently Five Points. Bill’s commitment was instrumental in the success of the grand opening for the Enterprise South Nature Park Mountain Bike trails. Bill enjoyed his family and loved being Papaw. He will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Rogers Sr. and Dorothy Clift; and brother David Long. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Rogers; sons, Lamar Rogers, John Arms Rogers (Tina), Craig Rogers (Billie); step-daughter, Kristin Siharath (Don); brothers, Ronnie Rogers, Terry Rogers, John Rogers, sisters, Sandra Reeves , Gail Wallace, nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
