August 30, 1982 – February 22, 2008

William Paul Alexander Thomas passed away in the early hours of February 22, 2008. He was struck by a passing vehicle while trying to direct traffic after a minor was born in San Antonio on August 30, 1982. He attended San Antonio Academy, Texas Military Institute and the University of Colorado. He worked after college as a stage tech in Tampa, Florida for six years until a recent move back to San was devoted to his summers of volunteer work at Camp C.A.M.P. in Center Point. He enjoyed working around children with disabilities, particularly the autistic. Paul’s continued work with these campers was one of his special gifts and greatest Thomas turned out to be a fine young man, full of good humor and gentle nature. He is and will be truly missed by his many good friends and co-workers here and in is survived by his broken-hearted parents, Bill and Phyllis Thomas of Pipe Creek; his aunt and uncle, Pat and John McIlhenny, and their children, Allison (Loyd) Guillot, Courtney (Christian) Megliola and Robin McIlhenny. Paul grew up with his McIlhenny cousins and they were more like brother and sisters. He is also survived by his New England family: uncles John Thomas and Jim Thomas and their families; his uncle and aunt, Buddy and Mikki Nevins, and their three children.
