William Thomas Naulty, Jr of Audubon, NJ, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, December 21, 2021, at Vitas hospice at Jefferson Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia. Bill is survived by his daughter Michaela Erin Naulty, former spouse Marie Naulty Orme, sisters Peg Foster and Linda Naulty Lamond, brothers Brian and Jake Naulty, nephew Ian and his wife Ella, nieces Emma, Emily, Sophia and Charlotte, and brothers-in-law Terry and Steve.
Bill was born in Audubon, NJ on April 20, 1953, and lived as a quadriplegic for almost 40 years since an unfortunate diving accident. Despite this hardship, Bill acquired an interest in a wide range of intellectual pursuits, from astronomy to music and sports.
Very special thanks from the family to the many nursing attendants and aides who over the years helped care for Bill – especially Tawnya and Kevin – and including so many others too numerous to list. They lifted his spirits, made his life easier and his hardship less burdensome. Bill’s sense of humor in turn cheered and inspired all who came in contact with his warm smile, his example reminding us not to take ourselves too seriously.
