William S. Evans passed away Wednesday September 22, 2021 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, after a long battle with dementia. William (Bill) was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Lula Evans, wife M. Nell Evans, his grandson Christopher J. Wheeler, his brother Robert H. Evans, his sisters Mable Rogers and Capitola McDonald. He is survived by his daughter Anita Ferris. As a child, Bill picked cotton in the fields of Hazel Green, AL, which motivated him to work himself through electrical engineering school as an LPN at a mental hospital in Minnesota.
Mr. Evans will be interred along side his loving wife at Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL. on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 2:00pm.
