William Sanford “Junior” Dyer, age 87, of Colfax Road, Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Era Dell Dyer on July 2, 2005; a son, Gary Dyer on May 2, 2017; and a grandson, Ricky Dean Hamilton on November 20, 2012.
Junior is survived by one son, Gerald (Alice) Dyer of Hillsboro; two daughters, Kathy Lynn (Rick) Hamiton of Flemingsburg and Sharon McClanahan of Morehead; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Beverly Dyer of Fleming County.
He served in the U.S. Army in Korea for two years. Junior was a carpenter and a well-known barn builder in Fleming County and other surrounding counties. He was a Pastor and a great Bible scholar.
