It is with profound sadness that the family of devoted husband, father and grandfather, William [“Bill”] Robert Hahl, announces his passing on June 3, 2022, at the age of 73.
Bill was born September 25, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Josephine and Charles Hahl. He was the youngest of three with his brother Chuck Hahl and sister Joy Raine.
After graduating high school, Bill married his wife of 54 years, Barbara and together they raised three daughters: Andrea, Vicki and Katie.
Later, Bill completed his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Kent State University. Known for his accounting genius and determined work ethic, Bill’s resume was nothing short of impressive. He worked at Ernst & Ernst, served as Seacoast National Bank’s chief financial officer and started his own private consulting company.
Bill spent quite a bit of time in the small surf town of New Smyrna Beach as a child and in his later years, making the area a popular vacation spot for his loved ones.
Bill took great pride in his cooking abilities with burgers and “grumpy” pancakes being some of his most renowned dishes. When Bill wasn’t behind the grill, he enjoyed watching sports (especially the Indians), exploring historical sites, working out or walking and fixing his old pickup truck.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Barbara; his daughters, Andrea (Jake) DesVergers, Vicki (Ryan) Kenney and Katie (Bobby) Kelting; his siblings, Chuck and Joy; and his six granddaughters. To say he will be forever missed is an understatement.
