William Robert Bill Davis, 65 years, of Ashland, IL died February 11, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
He was born July 30, 1942 in Cass County, IL; the son of Monte Coy and Dora Lillian Johnson Davis. He married Mary Daniel on March 31, 1972 in Ashland, IL and she survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Darri Lynn Davis (fianc©, Larry Gilbreath) of Fort Worth, TX; two sons, William R. B.J.Davis Jr. (Wife, Melissa) of Chandlerville and Stefan Alan Davis of Ashland; four daughters from a previous marriage, Robin Sue Steele (husband, Clifton) of Mason City, Lisa Ann Smith (husband, Tim) of Waverly, Kimberly Kelly of Mason City, and Katrina McGraw (husband, Chuck) of Mason City; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Davis was employed by Oscar Meyer and later Cargill of Beardstown for many years. He was a member of Ashland Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.
