William Richard Dussel, 69, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Tuesday morning, October 1, 2013 in his residence in the presence of his family. His wife and his mother survive. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Barbara Rice.Bill had two passions in life, farming and hunting, whether for game or for mushrooms. He was a true outdoorsman, teaching his boys and grandkids how to hunt, fish, and trap. Most everyone who knew Bill had visited his hunting shack. Only a mile and a half from home, but it was a world away, and the place for Thursday night supper. Everybody in town knew Bill and knew him to be a storyteller.

You needed to get him before he got you. Being a smart aleck was a number one priority, even if it meant getting himself in trouble. Bill raised Quarter horses and showed them from the time he was in 4-H. Bill will be greatly missed by family and friends.
