William Rees Clarke, Sr. 90, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center . He resided on the Mel-O-Ree farm at May’s Lick and was past President and Chairman of the Board of the Security Bank and Trust in Maysville.
Bill was born in May’s Lick on September 9, 1923 son of the late William D. and Lucille Rees Clarke.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Jean Meloy Clarke. Two sons William R. (Vicki) Clarke, Jr. of Maysville and Donald Meloy Clarke of Lexington; two grandchildren, Cameron (Brian) Nurick and William Rees Clarke III; and two great- grandsons Parker Clarke Nurick and Chase William Nurick. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Charles Allen Clarke.
