William “Randy” Spangler, 59 of Newburg, (Chestnut Ridge Community) passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by his side. He was born March 10, 1956 in Grafton, son of the late Leora June Spangler. Randy graduated from Newburg High School in 1975. He loved riding in the golf cart, going on vacations, fishing, boating, wrestling, reading, eating out, doing word search and watching westerns on TV. He also loved the WV Mountaineers. He was a member of the Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church where he served as Superintendent for the last two years, janitor and mowing for many years and a member of the Sage Brush. Randy is survived by one sister, Virgilene R Marsh and husband, Kevin, Tunnelton; his caregivers, Don and Carole Squires, Jeff Squires and Becky Cain and Kenny and Dottie Maxwell all of Newburg; one niece, Ameila Jackson and husband Brian, Tunnelton; one nephew, Dustin Miller, Terra Alta; four great nephews and two great nieces; Gage, Janae’, Dream, Damion, Danete and Blake. He will be missed by those who loved him, and his little buddy, Parker Biller.In addition to his mother, Randy was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Spangler, one sister, Rita Swan, and George and Hazel Pyles who raised him.
