Mr. William R. “Bill” Roberts, 77, of Valley, AL passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Roberts of Valley; four sons, Lyn (Shanna) Roberts of Sanford, NC; Mark Roberts and Paul (Pam) Roberts, both of Lanett; and Matt (Heather) Roberts of Valley; grandchildren, Madison (Mark) Toland, Fuller Roberts, Nicole Roberts, and Jared Roberts; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Toland, Riley Toland and Greyson Toland; siblings, Clarence (Leita) Roberts of Alexander City, AL; Marvin (Tillie) Roberts of Valley; Faye Cotney of Lanett; Betty (Bill) Brown of LaFayette, AL; Marie (Bob) Daniel of LaFayette, AL; Sara (Horace) Bradley of Lanett and Evelyn (Ron) Wagner of LaFayette, AL. Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his parents, Evie Mae and J. Clyde Roberts; his daughter, Dianna Marie Roberts and his brother, Frank Chester Roberts.
Mr. Roberts was a retired employee of West Point Stevens Carter Mill. He was a veteran serving with the U. S. Army Reserves for eight years and was a member of the Plant City Baptist Church.
