William R. Marcusky, 94, of Linden, died Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Williamsport Hospital.
Born January 10, 1917 in Frackville, he was a son of Frank and Susan Copeland Marcusky. He graduated from high school in the Frackville area. He was a master mechanic and retired as an equipment superintendent of Lycoming Construction in 1981.
Bill was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Ascension Church, where he volunteered for many church projects. He enjoyed building, tinkering, and working in his garden.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 51 years Ellen T. (Dowling) Marcusky in 1988, and a son William J. Marcusky in 1969, a brother Frank Marcusky, a sister Charlotte Keiser, and a great grandson William Michael Marcusky in 1985.
Surviving are his wife of 21 years Lois J. (Harrison) Marcusky, five grandchildren Sondra Marcusky, Michael Marcusky (Dora), Linda Shelmire (Mike), Diane Salamone (Peter) and Deborah Marcusky, a daughter-in-law Marjorie Marcusky, seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, two step-children Kimberly Whitmyer (Levon) and William Warfield (Wendy), and four step-grandchildren.
