William R. Landon, 73, Anderson, passed away April 29, 2011 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana from pulmonary fibrosis.
He was born November 22, 1937 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson all of his life. Bill was a 1956 graduate of Anderson High School and a 1960 graduate of Ball State University. He served his country in the Army Reserves for six years. He retired as a toolmaker from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 28 years of service, where he also taught geometric tolerancing and dimensioning. After retirement, he enjoyed woodworking. Bill was a member of the Solar Masonic Lodge #734 F. & A.M.
He is survived by his wife whom he married June 19, 1960, Judy Hobbs Landon; daughters, Susie Landon Gunter-Habermel Jeff and Kathy Landon Moore Cory; brother, Howard Landon Joy; and grandchildren, Garrett Gunter, Gracie Gunter, Landon Moore, Mareena Moore and Kayann Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira & Katherine Maugans Landon and brother, Robert E. Landon.
