Gallaher of Des Moines; his maternal grandmother, Emily Griggs of Newton; paternal grandmother, Eloise Gallaher of Quincy, Illinois; and his uncles, Denny (Barbara) Griggs, David (Jessica) Griggs, Doug (Suzi Kaiser) Griggs, Jeff (Lolli) Gallaher, and Brian Gallaher.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William C. Griggs and his paternal grandfather, John G. Gallaher.
Bill was a graduate of Newton High School in 1995. He worked at the Pella Corporation in Pella, Iowa.
In school Bill played baseball for many years, loved running cross country, and was in tennis and golf. He was a hard worker and was always working on cutting logs, mowing yards, working on cars, and other household projects.
