William R. Fine, 86, Anderson, died March 2, 2003 at Community Northview, Anderson after an extended illness. He was born July 26, 1916 in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in this area since 1946. He owned Hoosier Maytag, Sales and Service in Anderson. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh University in Bethleham, Pennsylvania. He served his country as a Staff Sargeant in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Anderson, Anderson Noon Optimist Club, and Elks Lodge #209-Anderson. He is survived by his wife whom he married in 1943 in Pasadena, California: Shirley Jones Fine of Anderson, Daughters- Carloyn Haynes & husband Dennis of Anderson, Patricia Fine of Cape Coral, Florida. Brother- Harold E. Fine of New Jersey, Sisters- Mabel Deaney of Holland, Michigan, and Phyllis Soza of Altadena, California. Fifteen Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
