GROVELAND – William R. Desmond, 83, formerly of Plum Island, recently of Groveland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Lahey Medical Center, Burlington on Monday evening, July 8, 2013.
Mr. Desmond was born on August 11, 1929 in Greenwich, CT. Son of the late William V. and Jessie Mae (Talbot) Desmond. He was raised in Greenwich and attended Greenwich schools. He is a Veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean War as a radar man on the USS Chukawan.
