William R. “Bill” Taylor, age 80, of Mt. Clare, WV, went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2016 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born December 16, 1936 in Clarksburg, WV on Arnolds Run.
William joined the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. After his military duties, he then moved to Central Florida and married his first wife, Pat Taylor who preceded him in death and their three children, Billy Taylor of Dothan, Alabama, Bobby Taylor of Mt. Clare, WV, and Diane Butler of Bartow, Florida; later married his current wife of 12 years of devoted love and devotion, Janet Taylor of Mt. Clare, WV; 5 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; 11 grandchildren inherited by marriage and a great great grandchild.
William has asked for prayer for his lifelong friend, Ike Paugh. He never met a stranger, just a friend he didn’t know. William would give anyone the shirt off his back and ask if they needed jeans. He was loved by anyone who ever sat and talked with him because his hobby was making people laugh. William could tell jokes all day long and never tell the same joke twice – man or woman – boy or girl. He could make you laugh and he had a special ability to make you like him and his jokes. Bill Taylor says to remember him as he was.
