He was born on 06/29/1940, in Yorktown Indiana. His parents were Robert and Melba (O’Neill) Miller.

He was a graduate of Yorktown High, in Yorktown, Indiana in 1958.

He earned a scholarship to Notre Dame, however due to unfortunate circumstances was unable to use his scholarship. However he did get a job with

Delco Remy in Anderson Indiana that led him to his career job.

He became a senior design engineer for General Motors (Guide lamp) in Anderson, Indiana, and he would be proud to say he earned his job through hard work dedication that led him to the senior position. He was employed with GM for more than 50+years. The last 10 years of employment with them he did in grand Blanc Michigan, and in 2006 he decided it was time for retirement.

They moved to Ocala Florida where they found a beautiful piece of land and build a dream home for his wife Jo, and they were able to move in in 2007. His excitement for moving to Florida was the fact that he was an avid golfer one of his favorite pastimes and would be able to do lots of golfing while living here. Due to unfortunate circumstances like double knee replacement, with several other elements that fell out he did not get to fulfill that dream but he never gave up on it all the way to the end even after losing one leg to diabetes. He was quite the character had a very vivid dry sense of humor and very few got his jokes but that’s OK he was well loved liked and admired by many but mostly his family.

Due to health circumstances in 2009 he had his daughter Koby moved down to help Caregive, him and mother for which she resided with them to this date December 2021, in the last six months he had his first born granddaughter move in to help Caregive and keep house, it’s brought much joy to his heart as he had not spent a lot of time with her kids that she had a family to raise and was just now able to come and spend time with him. In the end he was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer and was proud to tell everyone he kick cancers butt and that brought a lot of relief to the daughter and granddaughter.

He was preceded in death with by his wife Ann (Turner) 79, and firstborn daughter, Kimberly Lynn Miller, 59. He was married to his wife Jo for 57 years. He was a great father friend as well as a companion.

He survives by his three children, Kevin Bradley Miller, 61, Koby Jo (Miller) Stout,58, & Christopher Edwin Allen Miller, 55. He also has eight grandchildren that he was very proud of and they were known to call him “POP” for which he loved very much,  those children are, Soncerae Brooke Stout, Dustin Duane Stout, Beau W. Brumley, Sierra L Miller Samantha J Miller, Taylor D Miller, Krista M Miller, and Michael K Miller.

And the grandchildren gave him 15 beautiful great grandchildren.

However three of those great-grandchildren need to be recognized, because he helped raise these children through the first years of their lives and those three go by the names of …Cedric, Dakota, and Ashton, and Ashton had a nickname “Peanut” POP named him this and called him this every time he thought of him.

He had a few charities that he enjoyed donating to most all of them had something to do with children, as well as the cancer society.
