William R. Adkins, 45 years, of Jacksonville, IL died Sunday afternoon, October 15, 2006 at his residence.
He was born September 18, 1961 in Lincoln, NE; the son of Clay Louis Jr. And Juanita Loudermilk Adkins. He married Patricia Ann Barger on July 20, 1985 in Jacksonville, IL and she survives.
He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Maxine Loudermilk Kail (husband, Don) of Vincennes, IN; a brother, David Adkins (wife, Kathy) of Lawrenceville; three sisters, Anita Skobel (husband, Rick) of Elkville, Mischelle Adkins of Chicago, and Judy Peninger of Bossier, LA; three nieces; three nephews; three aunts; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Justin Michael Adkins; paternal grandparents, Clay L. Sr. And Ruth Adkins; and maternal grandfather, Joseph Burton Loudermilk.
Mr. Adkins was a 1981 graduate of the Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville and was employed for 11 years at EMI in Jacksonville. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of the Deaf where he was a deacon and a former treasurer. He was also a member of the Jacksonville Community Center of the Deaf. He enjoyed drinking coffee with friends, playing cards, and spending time with his wife and his dog, Sheba.
