William Priest, 74, of Three Oaks, Michigan, died Friday, June 9, 2006 at his home surrounded by his family.Bill was born August 3, 1931, in Three Oaks, Michigan to Martin and Minnie (Swedenburg) Priest. He graduated from New Troy High School in 1949 and served his country in the US Naval Reserves. On May 21, 1974, he married Gloria (Hardman) Marshall. Bill also spent spare time restoring and collecting classic cars and was a member of the 4-A’s Auto Club.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria of Three Oaks; children, Larry (Elaine)Priest of Fennville, Michigan; Sheila Priest of Cornelius, North Carolina; Brenda (Brian) Troxell of Baroda and Brian Priest of Sawyer, Michigan: grandchildren, James, Heather, Nathan, Rachel, Eric and Morgan: great-granddaughter, Kiersten: step-children, Debra (Roger) Simpson; Chelsea, Michigan; James (Casey) Marshall, Walland, Tenessee; Phil (Linda) Marshall, St. Joseph, Michigan; Belinda (Ray) Marshall of Aurora, Colorado and Brian (Angie) Marshall of Corpus Christy, Texas: step-grandchildren, Kelley, Christopher, Jesse, Jason, Stuart, Natalie, Zachary, Tyler and Ashley: step-great-grandchildren, Caleb, Mekena, Allisa, Brenden and Conner.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Brian Scott Priest, stepson, Calvin Marshall, brother, Martin Priest and sisters, Katherine Hess and Evelyn Coffey.
