William “Bill” Paul Rieck, Sr., retired, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, September 2, 2016. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio and lived in Manassas, Virginia since 1970. Bill served with honors in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965. He retired in 1999 from Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association as a Sr. Executive Vice President. He was an active member of the Freemasons, Manasseh Lodge 182 AFAM and an active member of the American Legion Post 10 as well as a volunteer at the Manassas Freedom Museum. Bill was very involved with his church, Grace United Methodist Church in Manassas and served with the Steven Ministry and more recently the Caring and Sharing program. He was an accomplished artist and had a devoted love for books, baseball, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Paul and Margret Rieck, a brother, Joe Buckley and a sister, Julia Belser and his beloved daughter and Roberta “Bobbi” Lynn Rieck. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Bea Rieck, his son William Paul Rieck, Jr. his grandchildren, Anthony Paul Rieck, Cory Lynn Rieck and Paul Vincenzo Rieck.
