On Monday July 27, 2015, Mr. William “Pat” Simering, Jr., passed away at Harbor Hospital. Mr. Simering was born on August 5, 1931 in Baltimore, MD. He served our country with honor for 36 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Colonel. After the Army, Pat worked as an Outside Plant Engineer, for C&P, and then Verizon. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching the Military and History channel, and playing the trumpet and banjo for “The Straw Hatters”. Pat loved his dogs, Mae Mae, Minnie, Reese (Brat), Lu Lu, and Bandit (Big Head), but Bogo was his favorite.
Mr. Simering is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty Simering. He is also survived by his children, Raymond Simering, Nicole Lamoree, Lori Kerr, Vicky Hoyt, Paul Davis, Darren Davis, Brenda Tuller, Cindy Carol, Eric Ridgeway, William Simering, III, Laura Dixon, Lynne Hasenei, Kathy Hoffhiens and Mike Simering; and by 28 grandchildren,19 great-grandchildren, his brother-in-law, Frank Kemzura, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ian and Jackie Somerville. Pat was preceded in death by his son, Warren Simering, and his daughter, Claire Chalmers, his parents, William and Clara Simering, his sister-in-law, Carol Kemzura, and his father in law and mother in law, Raymond and Dorothy Kraft.
