William Pearson (Bud) Lindsey, a lifetime resident of Lanett, AL passed away on Sunday, December, 22, 2019 at his residence in Nathalie, Virginia.
Bud was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Sue Craft Lindsey, their son Billy Lindsey, Jr., his brother Charles Lindsey of LaFayette, and his son-in-law, Jonathan Cook of Lanett. He is survived by his daughters, Connie (Aron) Halsey of Nathalie, Virginia and Jan Cook of Lanett, Alabama; his seven grandchildren: William (Ashley) Lindsey, Jason (Jenny) Halsey, Meredith Cook, Bryan Halsey, Elizabeth Cook, Taylor (Jessica) Halsey, Eric Cook; along with six great grandchildren Chandler, John Douglas, Jacob, Seth, Brayden, and Hannah, and family friend, David Kinder.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and Pop. Born in Buffalo, Alabama to Willie Joe and Mavis Hamlet Lindsey, Bud passed away under the full-time and loving care of his daughter, Connie in her Virginia home.
As a self-employed carpenter, Bud cared for many in his community, especially the widowed and elderly by providing them with home repairs. He played a pivotal role in the building expansions of three area churches. He was also an avid gardener known for his tomatoes and Hydrangeas.
