William “”Bud”” Moreland, 83, Huntington, IN, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 at 10:20 AM at Millers Merry Manor Nursing Home, Huntington, IN. Mr. Moreland was born in Martinsville, IN to Earl I. and Mary A. (Long) Moreland. His parents preceded him in death. Bud married Clara (Esther) Sink on December 25, 1948 she preceded him in death June 2008.
Bud was retired from Lime City Mfg Co. Inc. in the Quality Management Department after 40 plus years of service. He served in the United States Army during WWII as a Tech Sergeant. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Huntington, IN; American Legion, Huntington, IN, Lifetime Member of American Society of Quality, and a former Jaycee. He was an avid golfer, bowler and sports fan.
Survivors include: 2 Sons: Randy G. and wife Carla Moreland, Greensburg, IN and Steven G. wife Theresa Cordes, Brownsburg, IN, 1 daughter, Deborah Lynn Fleischman, Fort Wayne, IN and a daughter in law Rita Moreland widow son Ricky Moreland Nashville, TN. 5 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son Ricky C. Moreland, one grandson David Moreland and 2 Sisters: Naomi Fletcher and Marie Jackson.
