Waterbury – Mr. William Martin Mansolf, Jr., age 71, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday July 9, 2015, surrounded by his his loving family. He was the husband of Carol Ann (Marchand) Mansolf.
Mr. Mansolf was born in Meriden on September 19, 1943 a son of the late William and Martha (Herget) Mansolf. He was retired from Engineering Sinters and Plastics where he had worked as a machine maintenance specialist for many years. He was a “Jack of All Trades” and enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR.
Mr. Mansolf proudly served his country for ten years as a Torpedoman 1st Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy. Having served during the Vietnam War and the Cuban Missile Crisis. In addition to his wife, Mr. Mansolf is survived by two daughters: Brenda Lushinsky and her husband Keith of Jacksonville, FL. and Debora Litvaitis of Beckett, MA., a son: William M. Mansolf III of Waterbury, four grandchildren: Dana Binette, Jamie Litvaitis, Tyler Litvaitis and Miranda Mansolf, two great grandchildren: Ezekiel Binette and Obadiah Binette, a sister in law: Linda Mansolf of Meriden, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother: L.K. Mansolf.
