William Luther Summers was born August 16, 1950 in High Springs, Florida. Bill, age 70, died at his Miami home on July 9, 2021 under the care of Hospice. Bill leaves behind his loving wife, Christine Summers, to whom he was married for 35 years. He also leaves behind his beloved three sons: Greg McCann Summers, Jeffrey McCall Summers, and Troy Asa Maness (Jennifer Maroon Maness). “Bull” is also survived by two adorable granddaughters, Baylee Maroon Maness and Rylee-Jo Maroon Maness. Dolores S. McNeill, Bill’s sister, still resides in High Springs, FL with other extended family. Bill is pre-deceased by his brother Capus Guy Summers, Jr.
Bill attended the University of Florida where he received his undergraduate degree in Systems Engineering in 1973. He received a certification as a Registered Professional Engineer in 1978. He then worked for Southern Bell in Miami, FL from 1973-1982.
Bill had many interests and associations during his life. He was very active as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts and was a member of both the Sigma Tau Fraternity and the Florida Engineering Society.
