PINE MEADOW – PELLUM – William “Lee” Pellum, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2016 due to a tragic accident. He was the loving husband of Sibyl (Anderson) Pellum since 1968. Born June 1, 1947 in Champaign, IL; the son of Elizabeth (Gillis) Pellum of IL and the late William Windsor Pellum. Lee was retired from Aero Gear, Inc., where he was employed as an Engineer. Lee meant so much to so many people. His immense and diverse knowledge and love of music, movies, history and books opened up many doors for so many of the people he touched. He was brilliant. His passion was boats – if you couldn’t find him, he was likely on his hand-made sailboat or one of his several canoes. And if you couldn’t find him, you wouldn’t find Sybil either. They were inseparable to the end – a true love story in every sense of the phrase. Lee was a friend, a presence, a guide, a mentor, a comic and an unsung hero to many. But more than that, he was a loving and devoted father and husband, brother and uncle and a true family man. And we are all better for having known him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, William “John” Pellum and companion Carolyn Russell of Nashua, NH; two brothers, George Pellum and wife Lisa of IL and Dan Pellum and wife Gayla of IL; two grandchildren, Caitlin and Scott Russell of NH; and three brother-in-laws, Don Anderson and wife Paula Christensen, George Anderson and wife Tina Bozzuto and R. Rox Anderson and wife Fernanda Sakamoto. He was predeceased by a brother, Kevin T. Pellum.
