William Lee Moten Sr. “Billy”, born on March 13, 1940 in Lucketts, VA was called home on July 6, 2020 after a lengthy fight with several illnesses. Born to the late Robert Moten and Mary Newman Moten.
Billy moved to Rockville at an early age in life and lived there until his passing. He worked for The City of Rockville Public Works Department for 35 before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, James “Petey” Moten, Sr. and Robert “Bub” Moten, Sr.; sister; Doris Moten.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 22 years, Sabina Moten; children, Maria Moten (Errick Dixon “Fox”), William Moten, Jr. (Stephanie), Debbie Lansdowne, James Fuller, Wayne Fuller (Tami) and Candace White; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Anna Rose Moten, Shiree Beander (Walter) and Juanita Wedge; brother- in-law: Bernard Wedge (Elaine); a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; two godsons; special people in his life, John Moten, Annabelle Moten Owens and Gary Golden.
