William L. “Bud” Benefield passed away November 20, 2017, at the age of 78. Bud is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shirley Branyon Benefield of Trussville, AL; daughter, Lise Kelley (Joey) of Andalusia, AL; son, Jerry Benefield of Athens, AL; sister, Inez Perryman of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren and their families, Kristina Hudson (Stephen), Kevin Carter, Jay Kelley (Hayden), Blair Hancock (Jeff) and a great grandson, Cody Robinson. Other survivors include, Bob, David, Donald and Susan and their respective families; numerous nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his son, Mike Benefield; his parents, William Hardy & Alice Benefield; sister, Faye Hughes.
