William (Bill) Patrick Lancaster, 55, passed away July 31, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born on December 26, 1956 in Waukegan, Illinois,the only child of Floyd Lancaster, Jr. and Mary Romero Lancaster Clark. Bill attended elementary and high school in both Reserve and Cliff, New Mexico. He proudly earned his Associates of Applied Sciences in Biomedical Electronics at Dona Ana Branch Community College of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Bill married Doris Elaine McConathy on June 7, 1985 in Deming, New Mexico in a garden setting. Bill and Doris resided in the Silver City area for many years, before moving to Deming. Bill and Doris had two children Deborah Lynnette and Patrick Tyler.

Throughout his life, Bill worked for Houston Lumber, the City of Deming, and Corre Caminos Transit. However, over 25 years was dedicated to the Chino Mines Division owned by Kennecott, Phelps Dodge, and Freeport McMoran Gold and Copper, where he was currently employed.

Bill loved the outdoors, especially areas in the White Mountains, the Black Range and the Gila Wilderness, where he enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing. He enjoyed archery and went to numerous 3-D competitions. He loved classic cars and attended many car shows throughout the southwest. He enjoyed feeling the wind in his face, as he drove a jeep, went four wheeling, or rode his motorcycle with his friend, Norm. He was known for his quirky sense of humor and always enjoyed a good laugh.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rutilio and Sarah Romero; his father Floyd Lancaster; his stepfather Ralph Clark, and Paul Stagner; uncle, Larry Romero; aunt, Lydia Villejos; his father and mother-in-law, Boyce and Jewell McConathy; brothers-in-law, David William Wilson and John Edgar Murray III.

Surviving him is his devoted, loving wife, Doris Lancaster, his daughter Deborah, and his son Patrick of Deming, New Mexico. His mother Mary R. Clark of Reserve, New Mexico; his step-brother, Alan (Anne) Clark of Glendale, Arizona; sisters-in-law, Judy (Gary) Henley of Marana, Arizona, Kay Murray and Mary Wilson of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Becky (Bernard) Bartlett of Hurley, New Mexico; an aunt Patsy (Gerri) Anaya of St.Johns, Arizona; uncles Wolford Romero of Phoenix, Arizona, Bernie (Helen) Romero of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Leroy (Clarinda) Romero of Los Lunas, New Mexico, and Fernie Romero of Reserve, New Mexico. Also surviving are numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, who loved and respected him.
