Muncie – William L. Ridge Sr., 67, passed away early Friday Morning at his residence following an extended illness.
William was born in Muncie, on January 27, 1947, the son of Arthur C. and Georgia (Elkins) Ridge, and was a 1965 graduate of Muncie Central High School.
Mr. Ridge served proudly in the United States Army as a Missile Artillery Specialist. He was a Machine Operator for 20 years with CSX Railroad, until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie J. Ridge, Muncie; two sons, William L. Ridge Jr., (wife-Krista), Farmland, and Troy Allen Ridge, (wife-Debbie), Muncie; two brothers, Herbert Ridge, (wife-Mildred), Muncie, and Bob Ridge, (wife-Carolyn), Selma; three sisters, Alice Mae Smart, (husband-John), Albany, Barbara Eller, (husband-Don) Tennessee, and Dorothy of Sarasota, Florida; three granddaughters, Trista Ridge, (companion-John Shockley), Winchester, Maggie Ridge, Farmland, and Sarah Pendley, Muncie; a grandson, Aaron Pendley, Okinawa, Japan; a great granddaughter Nerrissta Ridge, Winchester; a special niece, Connie Duncan; several nieces and nephews; and his special dog, Charlotte.
He is preceded in death by his parents; several brothers; one sister; and a great grandson, Nathaniel Lee Ridge-Shockley.
