NEW HARTFORD  –YOREO – William L. P. Yoreo, 86, of Town Hill Road, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2008.  He was the loving husband of the late Grace (Galinat) Yoreo for 50 years, 3 months, nineteen hours and twenty-seven minutes.  By God’s mercy and grace, they now reside in heaven together.  Born February 23, 1922 in Hartford, CT; the son of the late William and Edith (Luetjen) Yoreo.  He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.  He was owner of Knight Tool Co. and he was Founder of Converse Communications Center: the first telephone relay service for the deaf from which he never retired.  He was also Elder of the Lutheran Church for the Deaf for 10 years and Elder at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Hartford.  Mr. Yoreo enjoyed writing and was author of “Reflections Over The Years In Verse And Poetry.”  He is survived by his two sons, David A. Yoreo and William A. Yoreo; five grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
