Mr. William Keith Cofield passed away on 19 May 2022.
Keith is survived by his son Jarrad, daughter-in-law Colleen and grandchildren Michelle and Dwight.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo, and father, Oliver.
Keith was born on 13 June 1948, and grew up in Minor, AL. He resided in Pinson, AL at the time of his death, living with his extended family: Linda Cofield, Amanda Davis, Leda Dimperio, and Tina McCarty. Keith served honorably in the US Army as an active-duty soldier, completing two combat tours before separating from active duty. He re-joined the Army National Guard, where he continued his career into retirement on 31 March 1998. Keith was also a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy for 24 years, working with his lifelong friend and brother in arms, Willie Hill, who lives in Morris, AL. Keith retired from the police department on 1 April 2005. Keith loved spending time with his family, and was an amazing Father and Grandfather, and will be missed fiercely.
