William K. Bennett passed away after a 2 A½ year battle with cancer on January 1, 2013 in the comfort of his home surrounded by family.
William was born on November 14, 1944. He was the second of four children and only son of William Frank and Lilly Mills Bennett. He grew up in Brigham City, UT and graduated from Box Elder High School prior to attending Weber State College.
Bill was a talented baseball player and enjoyed competing as a young man. He proudly served his country in the US Army as a paratrooper and gunner on helicopters during a tour of duty in Vietnam.
On August 1, 1969 Bill married Diane Poulsen in the Logan LDS Temple. They were blessed with three children: Danny Keith (Alesa) Bennett of Kaysville, UT, Jeffrey Shane Bennett of San Diego, CA and Candy Bennett Davis (deceased) and her husband Chris Davis of Roy, UT.
William was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held numerous callings.
