Joslin, William Joslin, age 84, husband, of Barbara Martine Joslin for 62 years, died Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at Maefair Health Center, Trumbull. Born on September 3, 1920 in Santa Domingo, the Dominican Republic, Mr. Joslin resided in Trumbull from the age of 5. He was an avid Boy Scout , becoming the first Eagle Scout in Trumbull and later serving in a number of capacities with Troop #61. He graduated from Bassick High School at the age of 16 and later served as a master sergeant in the army during WWII in the Philippines. He attended Yale University under the GI bill, earning an MA degree in history. Mr. Joslin retired in 1992 as executive vice president of Eastern Press, Inc. in New Haven, a company which he co-founded in 1953. In addition to being a printer, he taught English Literature at Quinnipiac College and Albertus Magnus College. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Joslin, of Trumbull; a brother, Edmund C. Wright of Trinidad, California; three sons, Richard F. Joslin of Hamden, Robert C. Joslin of Trumbull and Peter F. Joslin of Charlotte, Vermont; and four grandchildren, Patrick Joslin, Nathaniel Joslin, Elizabeth Joslin and Amanda Shapiro.
