Okeechobee – William John Baker, Jr. died April 13, 2021. He was born August 4, 1947, in Cohoes, New York to William and Beulah (Owens) Baker. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. A resident of Okeechobee for 25, years, he was a member of the VFW and enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his son, William J. Baker, III.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Genell Baker; son, Eric Baker (Diane); daughters, Tammy McGuirk (Harold), all of Okeechobee; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Baker (Paula), of New York; sisters, Eileen Boomhouer, Joan Fredericks (Joseph), Peggy Sass, Toni Labarron, Ruth Cushman, and Beulah Saunders (Charles), all of New York.
