William “Jennings” Peal, age 78, of Monon, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at home.
Jennings was born on May 4, 1942 in Charleston, West Virginia, the son of Russell E. and Grace V. (Porter) Peal. He graduated from St. Albans High School in West Virginia, Class of 1960.
Jennings married Brenda Mae Barnett on January 12, 1967 in St. Albans. She preceded him in death on November 22, 2015.
Jennings was a steel worker for 30 years at Bethlehem Steel, from which he retired. He served proudly as a United States Marine.
Jennings loved hunting & fishing and traveling to visit friends & family.
Jennings is survived by his sons: Robert J. (Wendy) Peal of Crown Point, IN; William J. (Liz) Peal of Wheatfield, IN; 4 grandchildren: Kyler, Trevor, Nicole, Jocelyn; sisters: Mary (Jay) Davis and Brenda Vance. Jennings and the late, Brenda were hosts to several exchange students including: Johanna Ahs, Camilla Thompson, Anna Paula Stucki. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 3 brothers: Russell, Larry, and David Peal.
