William J. Walsh, 89, of West Point Island, Lavallette, NJ, passed away Saturday September 14, 2013 at home. Born in New York City, he lived in Clark, NJ, Ortley Beach, NJ and Leisure Knoll, Manchester Twp., NJ before moving to Lavallette in 2002. Mr. Walsh was a US Marine Corp. WWII Veteran. William was a Milkman for Puritan Dairy in Perth Amboy, NJ.
He also had worked as a service man for Tetley Tea, NY, Coffeeman Co. in Holmdel, NJ and was owner of NJ Automatic Dairy Service. He was a parishioner of St. Catharine of Siena RC Church, Seaside Park and was a volunteer for the Ortley Beach First Aid Squad. He also was a member of various running clubs, including the Ocean Running Club. Predeceased by his wife Doris in 2011, his son Patrick Walsh and a son in law Dr. Michael Phillips.
Surviving are his 7 children and their spouses Liz Phillips of Lavallette, NJ, Pamela & Robert Blejwas of Clark, NJ, Maureen & Joseph Stacy of Alpharetta, GA, Timothy Walsh of Atlanta, GA, Kevin & Linda Walsh of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, James Walsh of McDade, TX and Shawn & Houn Hib of Upland, CA, a daughter in law Lucille Walsh of Rahway, NJ, a sister Mary Wade of Doylestown, PA, 23 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
