William Joseph Marquez Sr., 80, passed away Jan 13, 2022. He was born July 29, 1941, in Trinidad CO. His parents precede him in death along with his siblings, Chris Marquez, Ruby Marquez and Angie Fountain and in-laws, John, and Frances Solano.
William served in the US Army. He married his wife of 57 years, Sarah Marquez in Avondale. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a fan of all Colorado’s sports teams always cheering on the Denver Broncos, Rockies, Avalanche, and the Nuggets. He was a jokester. He was very proud of his yard, and he loved music. Most of all he loved his wife, and his family was his everything.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah (Solano) Marquez, children, William J. (Bernadette) Marquez, Jeffrey S. (Yolanda) Marquez, Paul (Mariah) Marquez, Katherine L. (Desi) Pacheco; and his adopted daughter, Nichol Gallegos; 9 grandchildren, Joseph (Angelica) Marquez, Mariah Marquez, Brianna (Cienne) Marquez, Pablito (Lexi) Marquez, Lawrence (Annalysia) Luna, Emilio Cordova, Andres Marquez, Destinee Pacheco, Adrien Decker; siblings, Josephine Garcia, Louise Valdez, Mary Montoya, Helen Martinez, Sylvia Higurea, Frank Marquez, and John (Hortencia) Marquez; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Anita Espinoza, and John Solano.
